We define confidence to mean what Ralph Waldo Emerson conveys in one of our favorite quotes: “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

Life is meant to be lived. While you’re locked in on achieving our mission, we’re of the belief that life should be filled with laughter and fun. So pardon us if we get a bit unserious at times...it's part of our charm.

The essence of our existence is rooted in the richness and vibrancy of Black culture. For centuries, our beauty was deemed undesirable despite the influence we have on the world. We will ALWAYS celebrate and champion Black beauty and Black culture and highlight its creators and innovators.

Can’t really isn’t our thing. Instead, we ask “how can we?” We constantly tests our beliefs and grow from our mistakes, as we realize life is a journey and we'll never stop evolving.

They say well behaved women rarely make history. And we have to agree. We’re not afraid to take the risks needed to realize our vision...even if we piss off a few people in the process. They'll live.
